Taking Ownership: Health Insurance Made Easy

Health insurance CAN be easy if we utilize the tools provided to us. Wellmark has several tools designed to help us make wiser decisions when it comes to our self-insured health plans. Wellmark provides the MyWellmark platform to bring many paper documents to your desktop, smartphones and tablets. Within MyWellmark are electronic explanation of benefits (EOBs), the Wellmark CareFinder, and the Check Drug Cost Tool.

Retirement Readiness: Life in Retirement - Volunteering

Human Resource Services will host three informational sessions presented by VCCV (Volunteer Center of the Cedar Valley). Join us to learn how you can put your passions to work now and in retirement through numerous volunteer opportunities in your community. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. The one hour sessions will be held: June 18 at 3 p.m. in the ScholarSpace LIB and 5:15 p.m. in 007/009 GIL, and June 19 at noon in the ScholarSpace LIB. Please register in advance.

My Well-being: Food & Mood

Do you understand the difference between eating out of necessity versus convenience and habit? Human Resource Services will host a one hour session, presented by EAP, that will help you reflect on current eating habits, learn ways to track mood and food, and identify the difference between hungry, boredom, and stress eating. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. This session will be held June 7, at noon, in the ScholarSpace LIB. Please register in advance. 

Financial Wellness: SHIIP Presentation

Human Resource Services will host three informational sessions presented by SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program). Learn the basics of Medicare and how to integrate healthcare into your retirement plan. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. The one hour sessions will be held: June 4 at 3 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. in GIL 007/009, and June 5 at noon in the Oak Room MAU. Please register in advance.

If there's one thing we share in common in this world it is stress. Human Resource Services will host two sessions, presented by EAP, that will help us learn how to identify stress and the best ways to respond under pressure. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. The one hour sessions will be held May 14 at noon and 2 p.m. in the Oak Room MAU. Please register in advance.

My Well-being: Joint and Bone Health

All faculty and staff are welcome to attend as we learn about different types of bone conditions, risk factors, prevention, and treatment. This session will be presented by Dr. Christopher Eagen, Orthopedic Surgeon from Covenant, on May 24 at noon in the State College Room MAU. Please register in advance.

My Well-being: Multi-Generations in the Workplace

For the first time in history four generations co-exist in the workplace. Human Resource Services will host a two hour session, presented by EAP, that will help us understand the factors and historical period experiences between these generations. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend. This session will be held on May 11 at 10 a.m. in the State College Room MAU. Please register in advance.

Retirement Readiness: Life Planning for Retirement

All faculty and staff are welcome to join us as we discuss how lifestyle goals can help prepare and formulate your retirement. Sessions will be held on May 7 at 3 p.m. in 007 GIL and May 8 at noon in State College Room MAU. Please register in advance.
