The fall semester is underway and flu season is just around the corner. The CDC recommends all adults receive an annual flu vaccine. Plan to attend one of the upcoming flu clinics, and reduce your risk of the flu/flu related complications. Stay well!
UNI Employee Well-being will be hosting a freezer meal prep class led by UNI’s Administrative Dietitian, Lisa Krausman and Juli Strasser, a Food Service Supervisor. In this food demonstration, participants will be assisted in creating eight different healthy freezer meals. This is a great opportunity to learn some new easy recipes and stock up on healthy meals for the busy weeks ahead.
Did you know that all University of Northern Iowa faculty and staff members are eligible for one free biometric health screening per year? Join Employee Well-being, along with professionals from Mercy Health Network, as they host the first biometric health screening this academic year. The screening will be held on September 22nd, from 7:00-9:15 a.m. in Gilchrist Hall 007/009. Please register in advance.

This phishing attack attempts to emulate the look of a genuine UNI website and email address. This message is not a real notification. If you have received this or similar messages, please forward them on to email@example.com.
Tallgrass Prairie Center is offering Wildflower Walks to UNI faculty and staff again this year! Every Wednesday, beginning June 28th, from 11:30 to noon participants can join Laura Jackson, director of the Tallgrass Prairie Center, for a guided tour of the beautiful campus wildflowers. Take a break from your long work day to get some exercise and fresh air all while learning about the beautiful wildflowers growing here on UNI’s campus. Tours will begin at the Maucker Union Plaza. Have you ever wanted to garden but aren't sure how or lack a place to put one of your own? Stop in anytime, as your schedule allows, between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays in June to enjoy various garden activities at Creekside Harmony Educational Garden (located behind the CEEE). We will have gloves and tools for you, just be sure to come in closed toed shoes. This activity it suitable for any level of skill - no previous experience is necessary. No registration is required to attend, and you may attend as many or as few sessions as you’d like.
