UNI Employee Well-being will be hosting a freezer meal prep class led by UNI’s Administrative Dietitian, Lisa Krausman and Food Service Supervisor Juli Strasser. In this food demonstration, participants will be assisted in creating eight different healthy freezer meals. This is a great opportunity to learn some new, easy recipes and stock up on healthy meals for the weeks ahead. This demonstration will be held on November 2nd, from 5:15-6:30 p.m. in the Maucker Union Catering Kitchens.

October is the leading month for candy sales nationwide (2 billion spent on candy in the U.S. each year). This season tends to start the holiday eating trend, and includes a lot of added sweets. Type II Diabetes is a chronic disease which, in most cases, can be prevented. This session welcomes all employees to come and raise awareness about this chronic condition, learn about disease management, and find out about healthy tips to aid in prevention. Join us on October 26th, from 12-1 p.m. in Gilchrist 007.
Everyone talks about a budget, but how many of us actually make and stick to one? Most people have some debt, but how many understand its effects? Let us show you the real impact of both and help you understand how your money can work for you. TIAA’s workshop leader will:
- Discuss the importance of cash flow and how to use it
- Focus on how you look at saving and spending
- Help you evaluate debt – and find ways to help manage it
