Faculty Bargaining Unit Determination Rules
Use the following table, visual, and primary assignment rule to determine when a faculty assignment should be Faculty Unit (United Faculty bargaining unit) or Faculty Non-Unit.
When to Select Faculty or Faculty Non-Unit

When More Than One Assignment
If a faculty member who is classified as Faculty has a primary assignment change to, or already has a primary assignment as, any of the following, they must be changed to Faculty Non-Unit:
- Academic Administrator
- Dean
- Department Head (including interim appointments)
- Lab Assistant
- Instructional Assistant
- Graduate Assistant
- P&S
