The UNI Student Health Clinic offers convenient, on-campus flu vaccination clinics for faculty and staff. Flu vaccinations are available at no cost to all benefits-eligible employees.

Getting your flu vaccine is easy, and free for benefits-eligible faculty and staff! Simply stop by one of the clinics listed below. No registration is required. Flu shots are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Eligibility for Free Flu Vaccinations
All benefits-eligible faculty and staff may receive one free flu vaccine on campus each year.
Dependents are not eligible to receive flu vaccines on campus. UNI health plans cover the cost of one flu vaccine per year when obtained through an approved provider. To ensure coverage, please verify that your provider accepts your insurance and present your Wellmark ID at the time of service.
Where Can My Dependents Receive a Flu Vaccine?
Individuals can receive their flu vaccination from their health care provider or at a pharmacy. Pharmacies offer flu vaccines without a prescription for individuals age six and older, making it easy to vaccinate the whole family. UNI health plans cover 100% of the cost of flu vaccinations.
Find a Provider or Pharmacy
You can find a provider or facility by logging in to your myWellmark® account or by using the Provider and Facility Search operated by Healthsparq®. Healthsparq® is an independent company that provides provider, cost, and quality information on behalf of Wellmark.
Getting Started with the Provider and Facility Search
- Log in to your myWellmark® account, or go to the Provider and Facility Search.
- Enter a location for the provider or facility you’re looking for.
Enter your plan information, identified by a three-letter code:
- UNI PPO (Alliance Select): UON
- UNI Blue HMO: XQW
You can find your plan code on your Wellmark ID card. The first three letters of your member ID will be either UON or XQW.
- The search defaults to All Categories, but you can refine your results by:
- Doctors by name
- Doctors by specialty
- Facilities by name
- Facilities by type
- Enter the name or specialty of the doctor, hospital, or clinic in the search field.
- Click or tap the search icon, or press Enter, to view your results.
To confirm which health plan you are enrolled in, log in to UNI Works.
Seasonal Flu Basics
According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. The illness can range from mild to severe. The best method of prevention is a flu vaccine. It is recommended that a new vaccine is received each year.
