Non-Temporary P&S Service Schedule

Calendar Appointment

Twelve (12) month work schedule. Includes all weeks of the calendar year.

FLSA Exempt: Salary is paid in 12 monthly installments. Twenty-two (22) days of vacation per year plus two personal holidays are accrued for full-time appointments. Six additional days may be accrued annually with the sick leave/vacation conversion benefit.

FLSA Non-Exempt (hourly pay): Earnings are based on approved timecards only. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Twenty-two (22) days of vacation per year plus two personal holidays are scheduled to be accrued for full-time appointments, however actual accruals are dependent upon actual hours worked. Up to six additional days may be accrued annually with the sick leave/vacation conversion benefit.

AY 11 Appointment

Approximates academic year (periods when classes are in session plus registration and examination periods) plus eight–week summer session work schedule. Exact schedule may vary.

FLSA Exempt: Includes 208 scheduled work days per fiscal year plus a vacation allowance of 19 days per year, for a total of 227 days of compensated service. Holidays falling during periods when work is normally scheduled are to be included in the 208 days. A vacation allowance is credited in the salary compensation (see above) but are not accrued days to utilize as additional time off. Up to 5.22 days may be accrued annually with the sick leave/vacation conversion benefit, plus 1.74 personal holidays. These added vacation days may be taken on regularly scheduled work days, or accrued up to a maximum of 111.36 hours. Salary is paid in 12 monthly installments (227 compensated service days - 1,816 hours).

FLSA Non-Exempt (hourly pay): Includes 208 scheduled work days per fiscal year. Holidays falling during periods when work is normally scheduled are to be included in the 208 days. Vacation will be accrued on a prorated basis from the calendar appointment schedule based on hours worked. Vacation accruals may be used on non-scheduled work days to approximate the 227 days of compensated service for FLSA Exempt. Earnings are based on approved timecards only. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.

AY 10 Appointment

Academic year plus 15 days work schedule. Exact schedule may vary.

FLSA Exempt: Includes 182 scheduled work days per fiscal year approximating periods when classes are in session plus registration and examination periods and 15 days additional work days during non-instructional periods, plus a vacation allowance of 17 days per year, for a total of 199 days of compensated service. Holidays falling during periods when work is normally scheduled are to be included in the 182 days. A vacation allowance is credited in the salary compensation (see above) but are not accrued days to utilize as additional time off. Up to 4.63 days may be accrued annually with the sick leave/vacation conversion benefit, plus 1.54 personal holidays. These added vacation days may be taken on scheduled work days, or accrued up to a maximum of 12.34 days (98.56 hours). Salary is paid in 10 monthly installments with the option to request 12 monthly installments for the second or subsequent fiscal years (199 days of compensated service - 1,592 hours).

Vacation will be accrued on a prorated basis from the calendar appointment schedule based on hours worked. Vacation accruals may be used on non-scheduled work days to approximate the 199 days of compensated service for FLSA Exempt. Earnings are based on approved timecards only. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek.

AY Appointment

Academic year work schedule. Exact schedule may vary.

FLSA Exempt: Includes 167 scheduled work days per fiscal year approximating periods when classes are in session plus registration and examination periods, plus a vacation allowance of 15 days per year for a total of 182 days of compensated service. Holidays falling during periods when work is normally scheduled are to be included in the 167 days. A vacation allowance is credited in the salary computation (see above) but are not accrued days to utilize as additional time off. Up to 4.2 days may be accrued annually with the sick leave/vacation conversion benefit, plus 1.4 personal holidays. These added vacation days may be taken on regularly scheduled work days, or accrued up to a maximum of 11.2 days (89.6 hours). Salary is paid in 10 monthly installments with the option to request 12 monthly installments for the second or subsequent fiscal years (182 days of compensated service - 1,456 hours).
