Effort vs. Impact

Managers often praise effort, but effort alone doesn’t always lead to meaningful outcomes. In busy campus environments, teams can mistake busyness for value, scattering their energy across too many priorities. Effective managers shift the focus from how much work is being done to the impact that work creates.
