Tobacco Cessation

‍The University of Northern Iowa is a tobacco-free campus. According to the American Lung Association, the leading cause of preventable death and disease in the U.S. is tobacco usage. To assist employees who wish to quit any type of tobacco usage, including smoking or chewing, UNI Employee Well-being provides resources to help you succeed.

Nurse Health Coaching for Tobacco Cessation

We understand quitting may be difficult and we want to help. UNI will pay for tobacco cessation support through a trained Nurse Health Coach at no cost to the employee. These sessions can occur on campus or offsite at a MercyOne clinic. To get started with Nurse Health Coaching email employeewellbeing@uni.edu or call 319-273-4246.
