Financial Wellness: Your Credit Report

Human Resource Services will host an informational session on what information is in a credit report, what it is used for, and how it can affect you financially. Learn who the 3 major credit reporting agencies are and what they do with your information. Recognize which factors usually increase your credit risk in the eyes of the reporting agencies. Learn to read a credit report, find and correct errors on your report, and improve your credit score. Find where you can get help and better control your credit today. This session will be presented by Regions on March 8 at 11 a.m., via Zoom.

My Well-being: Supporting Someone Who is Grieving

Human Resource Services will host a session led by Cedar Valley Hospice. Cedar Valley Hospice counselors will provide information on how to support someone who is grieving and resources available in the community. This session will be held on February 23 at 10:30 a.m. in Gilchrist 009. Please register in advance.

Financial Wellness: The Importance of Saving

You'll learn how to: create a savings action plan, understand different savings options such as CDs and investments, fuel your emergency savings, and find extra money to grow your savings. This session will be presented by Regions Bank on February 15 at noon, via Zoom. Please register in advance.

Participants will learn ways they can better their heart health through a healthy lifestyle. This hour-long session will be presented by Merriam Lake, with MercyOne Wellness, on February 14 at 11 a.m. in the State College Room, in Maucker Union. Please register in advance.

Financial Wellness: Preparing for Tax Season: What You Need to Know

Human Resource Services will host an informational session on taxes. Join us to learn more about current tax laws including: tax credits, deductions, W-4 withholdings, and additional ways to reduce taxable income through Flex Spending and Tax-Deferred Annuities. This session will have time allotted for questions and answers to your personal tax questions. This one-hour session will be led by Cathalene Bowler, Associate Professor of Accounting, January 23 at 11 a.m. via Zoom.

Own Your Benefits: FREE COVID-19 Test Kits

Beginning September 25 U.S. households can order four rapid COVID-19 test kits. We ask that when possible, you use the free options for test kits as the kits are not charged to our self-insured health plans (which impacts employee premiums). Please visit COVID.gov for more information on ordering, as well as how to tell if your COVID-19 tests' expiration dates have been extended.

My Well-being: Flu Vaccination Clinics

All benefit eligible faculty and staff are eligible for one free flu vaccination each year.
